Asbestos Inspections

Stohl Environmental is an expert in Asbestos Inspections both in the private and public sectors encompassing residential, governmental, commercial, and industrial properties. Asbestos Inspections are required in a variety of circumstances; often a prerequisite for a building or demolition permit, to satisfy OSHA or AHERA regulations, or when a remediation design document is required for a renovation project

Asbestos Air Monitoring

Stohl Environmental’s Asbestos Project Monitors and Air Sampling Technicians are used on large scale renovation, demolition projects, and exposure testing of asbestos and other contaminants in the air. Our Project and Air Monitors enforce all applicable regulations and pay close attention to work methods through all steps of the abatement process.

Lead

Stohl Environmental’s main focus in the area of lead-based paint is how to safely and economically handle contaminated surfaces and structures while maintaining regulatory compliance standards.  This level of expertise is executed by our highly trained staff consisting of more EPA Certified Risk Assessors than any other firm in Western New York.

Mold / Microbial Contamination

Our services include Mold Assessments/Remediation Plans and correction of the conditions that permit mold spores, bacteria and similar conditions to flourish in indoor environments. Our expertise in building systems allows us to understand not just where mold and other contaminants are located in a structure, but why it’s growing and how to prevent its return.  This can be achieved with efficiency and accuracy due to our training and certification as NYS Certified Mold Assessors and Remediation Contractors.

Indoor Air Quality

Stohl Environmental Indoor Air Quality Investigators are trained and certified inspectors that provide a complete evaluation of the interior and exterior of your building using state of the art testing equipment. Our sampling includes, but is not limited to Temperature and Relative Humidity Readings, Carbon Dioxide Measurement, Volatile Organic Compound Sampling, and Mold/Dust/Animal Dander Sampling. 

PCB’s: Polychlorinated Biphenyls

At Stohl Environmental, our expert technicians have the experience and training to ensure that testing and remediation management of polychlorinated biphenyl’s (PCBs) fully complies with all regulations. In doing so, Stohl Environmental has helped clients resolve PCB contamination problems, turning a potential large scale concern into a more manageable solution.

Due Diligence/Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments

Stohl Environmental’s Due Diligence services include Transactions Screens and Phase I/Phase II Investigations.  Our experienced personnel have helped define the industry standards for banks, developers, insurance companies and clients acquiring or re-financing real estate.  Here at Stohl Environmental, our trained staff can make a determination based on research to determine if a Phase II Environmental Site assessment may be conducted; which can involve a more detailed investigation involving chemical analysis for hazardous substances and/or petroleum hydrocarbons.
